Issue/Introduction

Identify a known issue for WAN Optimization appliance vCenter information.

Symptoms:
WAN Optimization appliance may not show IP information in vCenter

Cause

VMware Tools version is embedded in the WAN Optimization appliance OVA and it cannot be updated independently.

Resolution

There are no immediate plans to upgrade the WAN Optimization appliance OVA and consequently the VMware tools version running in it.

Workaround:
None.

Additional Information

The IP address configuration for WAN Optimization appliance is only informational and cannot be modified by the user. 
Communication to the IX appliance should be available regardless of the vCenter information shown.
