HCX - VMware Integrated OpenStack(VIO) not supported as Cloud instance

Issue/Introduction

During HCX Cloud Manager installation and configuration stage, a screen appears prompting to select the cloud instance to be configured, as shown below:

• vSphere
• vCloud Director
• VMware Integrated OpenStack

Only vSphere and vCloud Director instances are supported with HCX.
VMware Integrated OpenStack (VIO) should NOT be selected during HCX deployment. It will result in an installation failure.

Resolution

The option will be removed in the latest HCX maintenance release.
