Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  1. The Video RAM values displayed by msinfo32 and dxdiag are inconsistent with what was configured on the parent virtual machine or in the pool settings.
  2. You cannot install certain program due to low Video RAM values reported by Windows.
  3. msinfo32 is reporting 128MB of Video RAM for the SVGA adapter.


Cause

This issue occurs due to caused the version of the SVGA driver that is installed with the version of View you are using.
 
 
 

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMwareHorizon View 5.3.3 and 6.0.1,available at VMware Downloads.
 
 


Additional Information

With version of 5.3.3 and 6.0.1 the Video RAM reported by msinfo32 and dxdiag may be higher that what is actually dedicated to the VM
