The Show VMs in Inventory option in the vSphere Client does not persist between views

Symptoms:

• The vSphere Client setting Show VMs in Inventory does not persist between views.
• The Show VMs in Inventory option returns to Enabled.
• vSphere virtual machines do not remain hidden.
  

Cause

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vCenter Server 5.0 Update 1. For more information about this version, see the VMware vCenter Server 5.0 Update 1 Release Notes. You can download the latest release from the VMware Download Center.

To work around this issue when switching views, click View in vSphere Client and deselect the option Show VMs in Inventory.
