Refreshing existing pool fails after changing local administrator password for Gold Pattern with VMware Horizon Cloud Service on IBM Cloud

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Unable to perform refresh operation on existing pool after changing the local administrator password on a gold pattern.
  • Refreshing the existing pool timeout and fails.


Resolution

To resolve this issue, change the local administrator password on gold pattern.
  1. Log in to the Enterprise Center.
  2. Click Pool Management tab > Patterns.
  3. Click on the pattern you want to update.
  4. Click Reseal on the right of the pattern name.
  5. Type the information for changing the local administrator password.
  6. Click Update to reseal the desktop. This may take several minutes.

    After updating the Gold Pattern, the updates are only applicable to newly provisioned desktops.
  7. Refresh the pool.
