Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 and earlier virtual machine fails when creating a quiesced snapshots.
• In the /vmfs/volumes/datastore/virutal_machine/vmware.log file, you see entries similar to:

Cause

This issue occurs due to commands VMware Tools uses to quiesce the guest operating system failing to access the filesystem.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in:
