"FOREIGN KEY constraint" error with vCloud Director and Zerto

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Importing virtual machines into an existing vApp fails.
• Using Zerto for Backup/Restore operations fails.
• You see the error:
  
  FOREIGN KEY constraint "fk_vap_vm_scl_me2vapp_vm"

Cause

Changes to the Database Schema introduced Constraints which conflict with the state of certain Database Tables.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting vCloud Director 8.x.

This issue is resolved in vCloud Director 8.0.2 and 8.10.1 available at VMware Downloads.
