Issue/Introduction

This article provides information why vCenter Cloud Gateway ISO version is older than your SDDC version.

Symptoms:
The version of vCenter Cloud Gateway ISO which you can download from Customer Connect page directed from "Tools" tab on VMware Cloud on AWS console may be older than your current SDDC version.

For example, if your SDDC version is "1.8" currently, "vCenter Cloud Gateway" may show its version as "1.7" on Customer Connect page.


Resolution

You can download and use vCenter Cloud Gateway ISO to install even if its version is older than your SDDC version.

vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance has auto-update function and it will update itself after you configured Hybrid Linked Mode with your SDDC.
After this auto-update, your vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance will have compatibility with your SDDC.

Please make sure your vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance can access to "https://vcgw-updates.vmware.com/" to run auto-update.
