Parentheses in datastore name or bundle path in esxcli command cause download errors

Issue/Introduction

• The command esxcli software sources profile list --bundle [datastore(new)]bundle.zip fails with the error:
  
  MetadataDownloadError
  
  
• The command esxcli software vib get -v [datastore(new)]a.vib fails with the error:
  
  VibDownloadError

Resolution

This issue occurs if you run an esxcli software command to display or retrieve an offline bundle ZIP file or a VIB package that has parentheses () characters in the datastore name or bundle path.

To work around the issue when you cannot upgrade, change the datastore or directory name to a name that does not have parentheses.
