This issue is resolved in vRealize Operations Manager 8.x available at
VMware Downloads.
To resolve this issue in vRealize Operations Manager 6.6.x, 6.7 or 7.x, follow the steps below.
- Log into the vRealize Operations Manager Admin UI as the local admin user.
- Click the User icon in the upper right and choose Change Administrator Password.
- Provide the Current password, then provide a New password.
- Click Save to update the admin user's password.
Creating an SSH session as the admin user will now pass PAM validation.
