Issue/Introduction

Is there a DMCTL Command to determine if a Smarts SAM Escalation Policy is ENABLED or DISABLED?

How can you determine the current status of a Smarts SAM Escalation Policy via the DMCTL command line interface?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

  1. You can get a list of your current Smarts SAM Escalation Policies using the following command:

    ./dmctl -s <SAM DOMAIN> getI ICS_AutoActionPolicy

  2. You can then use the following command to check the current status of any of the escalation policies in the list derived from the above command:

./dmctl -s <SAM DOMAIN> get ICS_AutoActionPolicy::<Policy Name>::Enabled
