Smarts SAM: How to configure the console to unsubscribe from Duplicate IP Notifications?
How to set up a Notification Filter to filter out Duplicate IP notifications?




To configure a Console to unsubscribe from Duplicate IP Notifications, do the following:

1. Start the Global Manager Administration Console.
2. Create a New Notification List. To do this, right-click on Notification Lists and select New Notification List. This will launch the Notification List Creation Wizard.
3. In the Name field, enter a unique and appropriate name for the notification list, and select Next.
4. Set a filter that filters out the "Duplicate IP" Notifications as follows:
5. 1. Attribute: Class matches: DuplicateIP
   2. Click on green + sign, and select Attribute: InstanceName matches: [The instance name from which the duplicate IP notifications are received.]
       
6. Configure the relevant "profile" to use the new notification list. Make sure all the users that do not want to see DuplicateIP Notifications are using this profile.
7. Login to the Console again. The DuplicateIP notifications will no longer displlay there.
