When does a SYSTEM RESTORE happen on a Smarts Service Assurance Manager (Smarts SAM) domain?
What are the conditions for a Smarts SAM SYSTEM RESTORE to occur?

Smarts SAM domain log file contains the following message:

March 13, 2013 4:46:37 AM GMT+00:00 NOTIFICATION-Switch_xxx_Down Switch xxx Down 1 SYSTEM RESTORE INCHARGE_APM: ICS initialization 

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

The SYSTEM RESTORE happens only when the Smarts SAM Server is started/restarted with the repository. When that happens, all notifications are restored from repository.
