Issue/Introduction

Use-case to force sm_config to import a configuration on to a Domain Manager

Environment

Smarts 10.1.X

Resolution

Use the --force option of the sm_config command.
For example:
sm_config -s EXAMPLE-OI import --force  example.xml

Additional Information

Sometimes sm_config will abort a configuration import due to detecting errors which are benign.

For example, this can occur when sm_config detects that the timestamp of the import file is older than the most recent change in the current topology, even though this scenario is not necessarily problematic.

In this example sm_config aborts and logs the the error message: "ICS_NotificationList::ICS_NL-Default' with invalid timestamp"
