How can I configure Smarts Service Assurance Manager (Smarts SAM) WebConsole clients to use UTF-8 encoding?
To have Smarts SAM WebConsole clients use UTF-8 encoding, change the Java Runtime Environment Settings on all the hosts where the WebConsole will be used as follows:
- From Windows Desktop, select Start > Control Panel > Programs > Java.
- In the Java Control Panel, select the Java tab and click on View to open the "Java Runtime Environment Settings" window.
- In the "Java Runtime Environment Settings" window, select the User tab.
- In the User tab, enter the Runtime Parameter as follows:
-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
- Click Ok and then click Apply.
