When does the Voltage Sensor in Smarts IP report a StateNotNormal event for Cisco WSC6513 (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.896)?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

As per the Cisco specific Object Information, the StateNotNormal event depends on the entSensorStatus (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.5) value:

entSensorStatus: "This variable indicates the present operational status of the sensor."

1:ok
2:unavailable
3:nonoperational

In Smarts IP, the "unavailable" and "nonoperational" statuses get mapped to CRITICAL, which in turn will cause Smarts IP to report a stateNotNormal event
