How do I field certify a Cisco device for Metro Ethernet Discovery in Smarts IP 9.0?
What MIB is polled for Metro Ethernet discovery of Cisco devices in in Smarts IP 9.0?

Smarts IP Manager 9.0 uses the CISCO-EVC-MIB (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.613) to discover Metro Ethernet information from Cisco devices and create the EVC-Endpoints. If a device was certified in a previous version of Smarts IP, it may not be certified for Metro Ethernet. If it is not, this will require a re-certification request. However, a field certification can be provided. To field certify such a device, use the old Smarts IP certification and add the following:

EVCEP = Cisco-EVC

EVCEndPoint-Fault = Cisco.

Example
The following shows an example of this field certification with the required additions highlighted in bold:

# Cisco 7604
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.658 {
TYPE = Router
VENDOR = Cisco
MODEL = 7604
CERTIFICATION = TEMPLATE
CONT = Cisco-IOS-7604-Hybrid-Selector
NEIGHBOR = Cisco-Cdp
VLAN = Cisco-Membership
HEALTH = Cisco-Router
EVCEP = Cisco-EVC

INSTRUMENTATION:
Environment = CiscoEnvMon:DeviceID
CPU/Memory = CiscoRouter:DeviceID
Card-Fault = OldCiscoChassis
Interface-Fault = MIB2
Interface-Performance = CiscoRouter
Interface-Ethernet-Performance = CiscoRouter_Ethernet
Port-Fault = MIB2
Port-Performance = MIB2
Port-Ethernet-Performance = dot3_Ethernet
EVCEndPoint-Fault = Cisco
}
