Issue/Introduction

  • No problem discovering from Performance Manager server.
  • Error: "Nothing in the repository to initiate auto-discovery" appears in Discovery Progress window.
  • Error Message: "System limit exceeded" occurs in AM server log

Resolution

  • Check the trial license file. License limitations on discovery from AM server only. AP_SYSTEM_VOL feature in license files control the amount of devices which can be discovered.

    Example: INCREMENT AP_SYSTEM_VOLUME sm_lmgrd92 permanent 6 BCC9498CE684\
    VENDOR_STRING=BlockSize=50 SN=DO574760732 TS_OK 
  • Licenses are issued in blocks of 50 so the above line provides 300 device licenses.  50x6=300.
