Load the changes to the discovery import files

Issue/Introduction

To read changes to discovery import files, a restart of a domain will read-in changes to .import files, however restarting a domain is not always possible.
This article explains the commands to use to load the changes without restarting the domain.

Environment

All Supported Smarts releases

Resolution

Once the changed .import file is in place <BASEDIR/IP/smarts/conf/discovery or <BASEDIR/IP/smarts/local/conf/discovery, run the following command:

<BASEDIR>/IP/smarts/bin/sm_adapter -s <Domain> -f <full path to import file> import.asl
