Issue/Introduction

Issue:

When trying to Export to Excel (Data Only option) in an NSQL query based portlet, only the first 50,000 rows are exported, the rest are missing. This is regardless of the Export to Excel limit set in PPM and CSA (TEC1174554).

Cause:

To reduce the demand on server resources and out-of-memory errors, a row limit governor is applied to the NSQL query results in grid portlets, chart portlets, and cases where XOG query tags are used. The governor restricts the number of rows that are processed to 50,000 (MAX_FETCH_LIMIT).

Resolution:

The MAX_FETCH_LIMIT value is applied in the CMN_OPTIONS_VAL table. The default value is 50,000, but we do not recommend adjusting the limit. Instead, create a report with the same data and use the reporting tool's exporting capabilities.
