VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.5.x

Resolution

Use these steps to deploy a fully collapsed vSphere cluster in NSX-T Data Center 2.5.1.
  1. Prepare four ESXi hosts with vmnic0 on VSS or VDS, vmnic1 is free.
  2. Install vCenter Server on Host 1.
  3. Prepare ESXi Hosts 1, 2, 3 and 4 to be transport nodes one by one with only vmnic1 in nVDS.
  4. On Host 2, 3 and 4, migrate vmk0 and vmnic0 together to nVDS.
  5. On Host2 and 3 install NSX Manager from NSX Manager UI.
  6. vMotion the first NSX manager and vCenter from Host 1 to Host 4.
  7. On Host 1, migrate vmk0 and vmnic0 to nVDS.
  8. Follow Step 19 in the documentation to set UNBLOCKED port for power failure scenario. see the Fully Collapsed vSphere Cluster NSX-T Deployment section of the NSX-T Data Center Installation Guide.
Note: Follow all other recommendation except the part on the TN profile.
