DLR fails to resolve mac addresses of VMs on differents ESXi hots if uplinks on vDS are named in Japanese.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Fail to ping between VMs on different ESXi hosts via DLR.
• "net-vdr -C -l" command shows that uplinks' names have non-English characters:

Cause

NSX Manager cannot handle with Japanese characters when sending vxlan configurations to ESXi hosts.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in NSX 6.4.2.

Workaround:
Create uplinks with English characters.
