Virtual Machine Nic disconnect with SRM workflow

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
• Virtual machines on DR site loses network connectivity when clicking on the 'TEST DR' tab of the SRM.
• VM network adapter stays connected in vCenter however, the link is down inside Guest OS.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

NSX 2.5.2 introduced rekeying of vif for SRM but did not cover the case where the protected site and recovery site ESXi are in different transport zones.

Resolution

It is a known issue and fixed on NSX_T 3.0.2 version and above.

Workaround:
For workaround:
Edit the Virtual Machine Settings.
Go to Network Adapter
Disconnect the network adapter and save the configuration.
Reconnect the Network Adapter and save the configuration.
