There are a couple of ways you can upgrade the Cloud Proxy.
A. At every reboot the system automatically checks if there are any updates available. If it does then the system automatically upgrades it.
B. If the customer wants to update it manually than they can check for the upgrade on the UI (vRealize Log Insight Cloud console) and when the system finds one, then the system UI will give you a prompt asking if you want to upgrade. This would reboot the Cloud Proxy.
<UI instruction on method B>
- vRealize Log Insight Cloud console > Configuration (Cloud proxies) > Choose the subject Cloud Proxy > From "Please Select" list, choose "Check for Upgrades" > press "EXECUTE" button.
Also, you can get notifications when there are new updates available for the proxy by setting the following:
<Configuration instruction on how to enable notification>
- vRealize Log Insight Cloud console > Configuration > Cloud Proxies > CONFIGURE NOTIFICATIONS > enable the "Notify me when new update is available for my proxy" toggle button
