[VMC on AWS] Failed to enable Tanzu cluster

Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about the detail of the "Tanzu Kubernetes grid activation failed" error message.

Symptoms:
Enabling Tanzu Cluster fails in VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC environment as below.

• Error message : Tanzu Kubernetes grid activation failed

Cause

This issue occurs when an invalid Service CIDR specification is specified.
Also, it may occur temporarily depending on SDDC condition.

Resolution

Service CIDR prefix must be a minimum of /24 as below.

Please check the improvement of the issue by specifying the correct Service CIDR.

Workaround:
If Sevice CIDR is correctly specified, it may be a temporary issue. After an hour or so, please re-try activation and check improvement the issue.
