Issue/Introduction

In VMware Aria Operations for Logs (SaaS), you may want to filter all logs for log management operations, such as Log Partitions. You may use a wildcard (*) or similar constructs like below to query all logs, and it may appear that all logs are shown in the log preview, but in reality, it does not function as a filter.

Resolution

Using wildcards is not generally supported for filtering all logs.
As a best practice, you can filter all logs by using the query like below.

  1. Click + ADD FILTERS.
  2. Select "text" | "Exists" for the filter.
