Environment

VMware vSphere Data Protection 5.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs if VDP does not have permissions to retrieve the storage performance data from vCenter Server.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure that the password for the account that registered VDP to vCenter Server has not expired.

Alternatively, you can use another account to re-register VDP to the vCenter Server.

To re-enter the correct password through the vdp-configure UI of the VDP appliance:

  1. Connect through the Web UI interface of the vdp-configure utility at https://VDP_IP/vdp-configure.
  2. Click the Configuration tab and click vCenter Registration.
  3. Click the lock icon beside Click to modify vCenter configuration.
  4. When prompted, enter the appliance password.
  5. Re-enter the vCenter Server username and password.
  6. Click Save.
