Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
vCenter Server is reporting a task spew of "Update vSAN Configuration" under "Monitor" -> "Tasks"
These events are noticed/repeated on average 9 to 10 seconds
Environment
VMware vSAN 6.x VMware vSAN 6.7.x
Cause
The log spew, was reported on all the hosts from one specific vSAN Cluster. This cluster had one host in in "Not responding" state as it was powered off.
Due to a disconnected host, cluster remediation was being triggered on the cluster in a loop which caused the log/events spew on the vCenter - tasks.
Resolution
The log spew can be stopped by taking the host out of the "Disconnected" / "Not-responding" state on vCenter lower than 6.7 U3 version.
This issue is now fixed permanently in vCenter + ESXi 6.7 U3.
Additional Information
