In vCenter Server 7.0U3, vSAN Health check shows a certified NVMe device as uncertified with the warning “NVMe device is VMware certified”. Please see screenshot below:
Note: The issue only impacts a few NVMe devices.
This is a regression introduced in ESXi 7.0U3, which causes vSAN Health Service to not able to correctly identify some of the NVMe devices in the HCL, even though the device is certified to be used with vSAN.
If the health warning blocks any remediation workflow, user can silence the "NVMe device is VMware certified" by clicking the 'SILENCE ALERT' button on health UI.
