vSAN File Service Deployment Fails with cannot reconfigure domain for vSAN file service operation timeout

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Attempting to enable vSAN File Service you see the following errors:

• Cannot complete the operation, see the event log for details,
• File server creation due to unknown reason cannot reconfigure domain for VSAN file service operation timeout.
• ovf deploys successfully

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.0.x

Cause

This is caused because DNS register is not allowed by AD server and vSAN File Services is not handling this type of failure gracefully.

Resolution

Upgrade to 7.0U2
