Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Legacy/Stale file services information/configuration is present on a new vSAN cluster when enabling file services.

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs if the hosts being used to create a new cluster (with file services enabled) had been part of a vSAN cluster previously (with file services enabled) and the old/legacy configuration was not successfully/completely removed.

Resolution

To workaround this issue, disable file services with no file shares created, and then re-enable the file services with the new configuration.
The first disable operation will clear all the domain configurations when there are no file shares in the cluster.
