Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
If one ESXi host enters into Maintenance Mode in vSAN File Service cluster, you experience this symptom:

There may be some failures of the vSAN File Service remediation tasks shown in the "Task Console" of vCenter Server User Interface (UI).

Cause

This issue occurs when a host is not able to power on VMFS VMs due to being in Maintenance Mode. The remediation process will attempt to power on the VMFS VMs that are located on the host regardless of the hosts current state and will fail due to the host being in Maintenance Mode, resulting in the vSAN File Service remediation task failing.

Resolution

This issue has no impact on vSAN File Service and vSAN. It just causes the vSAN File Service remediation task failure. This failure could be ignored.
