SD-WAN - Enabling IP Unknown Protocol causes Edge to crash

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

On SD-WAN Edge 610 models, the edge will crash after enabling "IP Unknown Protocol" under "Network and Flood Protection" settings on the Firewall configuration page.

The Edge will experience a dataplane service failure and won't be able to recover until the "IP Unknown Protocol" option is disabled and the edge services restarted.

This only affects Edge 610 models.

Cause

This is caused by known issue 134461.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware SD-WAN Edge version 5.2.3.0
