Issue/Introduction

DVS specified in the TN profile contains a special character in the name. e.g. "RegionA01-DVS7|Test"

NSX Manager logs show the following error.

var/log/proton/nsxapi.log

Cause

NSX does not support the use of special characters in the DVS name.

Resolution

Remove all special characters from DVS name and attempt the host preparation again.

Special character validation is added in VMware NSX 3.2.2 and 4.0.1.1.
