Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • DVS specified in the TN profile contains a special character in the name. e.g. "RegionA01-DVS7|Test"
  • nsxapi.log shows the following error

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

NSX-T does not support the use of special characters in the DVS name

Resolution

There is currently no fix for this issue


Workaround:

Remove all special characters from DVS name and attempt the host preparation again
