Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • A custom workflow execution within vRealize Orchestrator requests an Azure Composite blueprint
  • Azure blueprint request fails with: “{System Msg: The value for the field id instanceSize is fixed and cannot be overridden.} ) ( [Rest Error]: {Status code: 400}, {Error code: 11015} , {Error Source: null}, {Error Msg: The value for the 'instanceSize' field should be among the permitted values.}”


Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.2.x
VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.2.x

Cause

VMware is aware of this issue.  A workaround within 7.2 is available below.

Resolution

There is currently no resolution for this issue.

Workaround:
  • Create a similar composite blueprint without modifying the 'instanceSize' & 'instanceSizeSeries'. 
  • Use this new composite blueprint within the custom workflow to request the Azure machine.
