Issue/Introduction

This article provides details on exposing the web page to remove stale entries from the Automation Orchestrator cluster.

Symptoms:
  • You have redeployed or have lost a VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.x appliance.
  • You see the old entry for the now removed node reporting in the Control Center UI.

Environment

VMware vRealize Orchestrator 8.x

Cause

Resolution

In some scenarios where automatic cleanup does not properly occur after removing an Automation Orchestrator node, manually removing an old record from the database may be required. See the Workaround section below for additional information.

Workaround:
  1. Navigate to the Control Center UI and add the following query parameter to the end of the URL in your client browser: ha?remove-nodes then reload the page.
    https://AutomationOrchestratorFQDN/vco-controlcenter/config/#/control-app/ha?remove-nodes
  2. A new column will appear with checkboxes and a delete button. Select the required node and delete it.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:

There is no impact to a running cluster when removing a stale entry that no longer exists.

Note: Do not remove a node you know to be an active member of the existing cluster.
