"Selected website name does not exist" error while installing IaaS

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Installation of IaaS fails during upgrade of vRealize Automation  7.x
• The following error is encountered:
  
  Selected website name does not exist
• WAPI component status will be reporting as Unknown

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.x

Cause

This issue occurs if the website name is missing in IaaS Web Server registry:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/VMware, Inc./VMware vCloud Automation Center WAPI/WAPI

Resolution

1. To resolve this issue, verify these entries exist in the registry on the IaaS Web Server.

Note: If using more then IaaS web server, these settings should match on all servers.

2. From an elevated command line:  IISReset
