Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Your vSphere+ Cloud Connected vCenter gateway was changed.
  • In Aria Automation UI, you see an error on the affected vSphere+ Cloud Account:
    Endpoint validation failed during health check: FAILED with Failed to validate credentials. Error: Error getting aap vcenter credentials. Original Task Error: 'Failed to validate credentials. Error: Error getting aap vcenter credentials'
  • In the on-premises Aria Automation appliance, in /services-logs/prelude/provisioning-service-app/file-logs/provisioning-service-app.log file, you see messages similar to:

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.12.x

Cause

The affected vCenter reference in Aria Automation still contains the old gateway reference.

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue. Currently there is no resolution. Refer to the workaround section below for additional information.

Workaround:

Update the affected cloud account

  1. Go to Assembler > Infrastructure > Cloud Accounts and select your affected vSphere+ Cloud Account.
  2. Click Validate and Save.
  3. Confirm data collection is succeeding.
