Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• VMware vRealize Orchestrator validate configuration details:

Orchestrator Cluster in an inconsistent state.

• A similar error within the Orchestrator Cluster configuration can be seen:

STANDBY
Server License: Server license check: Failed
Authentication provider: Authentication provider not properly configured. java.lang.RuntimeException: com.vmware.vcac.platform.rest.client.support.RetriableOperation$RetriableException: Retriable operation failed after the maximum number of attempts - [3]

Environment

VMware vRealize Orchestrator 8.x

Cause

This issue is seen if the Platform Services Controller is configured with custom domain other than default vsphere.local.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, in vRealize Orchestrator Configure Authentication Provider, change the default tenant to the custom domain name defined within the Platform Service Controller.
