When using the Assessment and Migration feature of vRealize Automation 8.2, starting an assessment fails with a 500 error after adding a source

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• You are attempting to use the Assessment and Migration functions within vRealize Automation 8.2
• You have added a vRealize Automation 7.x content source to an organization
  • The content source addition will complete successfully.
• Running a Migration Assessment generates a 500 error response within the user interface 

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.1.x

Cause

• This only affects vRealize Automation 8.2 installations that intend to Assess and Migrate a source vRealize Automation 7.x installation that uses a valid, signed SSL certificate.
• This does not affect Assessment and Migration of source vRealize Automation 7.x installations that use a self-signed SSL certificate.

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue.  This issue will be resolved in vRealize Automation 8.2 Patch 1.

Workaround:
There currently is no workaround.  If waiting for the vRealize Automation 8.2 Patch 1 release is not feasible, please contact a VMware Global Support Services representative by submitting a Service Request through Customer Connect.
