Issue/Introduction

This article contains a list of known issues that are resolved in the latest patch available for vRealize Automation 8.2.

Resolution

Note: It is recommended to install vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.2 Patch 1 before vRealize Automation 8.2 Patch 1.

The steps to install vRealize Automation 8.2 P1 using vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager are as follows:

1. Login to the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager UI.
2. Navigate to Lifecycle Operations > Settings > System Details. Verify you have at least 20GB of Free Space.
   • If not enough space, select Extend Storage and increase Disk Space so that Free Space available is 20GB.

Note: The value provided in the wizard is the total new disk size

3. Once Extend Storage request is completed. Navigate to Settings > Binary Mappings
4. Click Product Patch Binaries and follow the steps.
5. (When Offline) To upload patches, click Upload Patches and select the patch file and click Import.

Note: Download the vRealize Automation patch by following Instructions to find Product Downloads, OEM custom images, Patches and Addons in the Broadcom Support Portal

6. (When Online) To check if there are patches available on the internet, click CHECK PATCHES ONLINE. 
7. Once Check Patches Online request is completed, to download the online patch, Click the Download icon of the vRealize Automation 8.2 patch present under the Product Patch Binaries list.
8. Trigger the patch installation for vRealize Automation from the product details within the Environments page using the product actions, click Patches > Install Patch.
9. Select the patch from the list of downloaded patches.

Note: The patches must be downloaded from the Product Binaries page. Only the downloaded patches are listed here.

10. Click Next.
11. Verify vRealize Automation storage requirements and select the check box "I have taken care of the above storage requirement and am ready to proceed"
12. Click Next.
13. Review and Install the available patch and click Finish.
14. The patch install request progress can be tracked under Requests.
15. To view the history of patches from Environments, click Patches > History
