Issue/Introduction

Address issues that block proper cloning of vitual machines provisioned by vRealize Automation.

Symptoms:
  • A reboot initiated by a software component persist request "In Progress" indefinitely with errors similar to:
"Error while polling events for subscription '{}'." "Network is unreachable: connect"
  • ESXi hosts have been upgraded without upgrading VMware Tools on guest templates


Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 7.x

Cause

This issue is related to VMTools upgrade on ESXi hosts. The deployed virtual machine hasĀ a popup for VMTools upgrade / reboot request that interrupts the execution of the software agent.

Resolution

Upgrade all templates called by vRealize Automation blueprints to reflect the most recent available VMware Tools version offered by the upgraded ESXi hosts / vCenter.
