SubnetLinks in ranges are not validated on creation

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• After creating a new range of IPs you do not see the expected ranges of IPs

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Cause

• SubnetLinks in ranges are not validated on creation.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vRealize Automation 8.11.

Workaround:

Restore visibility to missing IPs in range post creation

1. Open the Manage IP Ranges window.
2. Click the New IP Range button to add a new range.
3. Without making any changes, click Cancel
4. The previously hidden IP ranges should now appear in the list.

Restore corrupted IP range data 

1. Follow the set of steps above to reveal the previously hidden IP ranges.
2. For each previously hidden IP range:
   1. Click the name of the IP range to edit it.
   2. Associate the range with the appropriate network.
   3. Click Save.
   4. The IP range should now be automatically visible because its network association has been restored.
