Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Inventory synchronization fails when triggered manually or through an attempted upgrade with Error Code: LCMVRAVACONFIG90027


Cause

An invalid character is used in one of the nodes root password in the VMware Aria Automation cluster.

Resolution

Password should have minimum one upper case, one lower case, one number and one special character. Special characters can be !@#$%^&*().

 

Do not use + or spaces in your passwords.

Impact/Risks:

Inventory synchronization fails and upgrades cannot be performed.

 

Locker password updates will still succeed and can be used to mitigate an improperly used password.
