Network filter errors, No placement exists, or enumeration failures when using VMware Aria Automation

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• NSX-T Transport Zone Policy API supports any string as ID:
  • In cases where IDs are in GUID format, get hosts and clusters does not fail but does not return results.
    • You are attempting to provision a machine from VMware Aria Automation with NSX-T integration and a failure is encountered similar to one of the below errors:

      • Reason: network filter: host does not conform with the network configuration

      • No placement exists that satisfies all the requested requirements

  • Data collection errors can be found in /service-logs/prelude/provisioning-app-xxxxxx similar to:

    java.lang.IllegalStateException: Identifier does not contain an UUID
    

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

VMware Aria Automation NSX-T Policy Cloud Account enumeration of transport zones and segments is failing and/or skipped due to incompatibility in transport zone IDs.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware Aria Automation 8.13.1 and above.
