Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Slow loading times in vRealize Automation 7.x XaaS forms.

Cause

This issue occurs when the propagated user has a large hierarchy of groups they are a member of. A recursive lookup of connected groups is performed to find out if the user is a member of the vcoadmins group.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, configure vRO as an external vRO instance using Basic Authentication:

1. Go to Administration > vRO Configuration > Server Configuration.
2. Select Use an external Orchestrator server followed by entering a Name and Description.
   1. Select Basic Authentication and enter the credentials of a user who is a member of the vcoadmins group.
   2. For Host, enter the address of the load balancer with :443 for the port.
3. Click Test connection before saving the configuration.

Note:  Swapping this configuration to external skips these permission checks and removes the need to load a user's groups.
