Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
When submitting a blueprint that contains an encrypted properties you see error message similar to:
The data specified within the request is invalid. The current data type SECURE_STRING for the 'xxx.propertyname' field must be STRING.
Resolution
This is a known issue affecting VMware vRealize Automation 7.x.
This issue is resolved in VMware vRealize Automation 7.3.1 and VMware vRealize Automation 7.4, available at My Downloads in the Broadcom Support Portal.
Workaround: To work around this issue, apply the patch. To request the patch, file a support request with VMware Support and note this KB article ID (325798) in the problem description. For more information, see Creating and managing Broadcom support cases.
