Host Profile Customization Window Is Blank

Issue/Introduction

Cannot edit Host Profile Customization as the window is blank.

• Check the vpxd logs, path:/var/log/vmware/vpxd.log for 'Invalid directory specified for syslog'.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0.x

Cause

•  ESXi host is not configured with valid syslog directory.
• The ESXi might not have connection to the syslog directory.

Resolution

• Configure valid syslog directory referring to the KB Configuring syslog on ESXi (2003322)
• Re-try ESXi Host Profile Customization.
