Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Integrate Aria Orchestrator with Aria Operations and configure the Apply Host Security Configuration Rules workflow in Aria Orchestrator.
  • Select APPLY HOST SECURITY CONFIGURATION in Aria Operations.

  • You receive the following error. Cannot send mail: 'Could not convert socket to TSE' Cause: 'Certificate is not in CA store'

  • The error is displayed in Aria Operations but note the resolution is carried out in Aria Orchestrator.


Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.10.x
VMware Aria Operations 8.12.x

Cause

  • The workflow triggered in Aria Operations fails as Aria Orchestrator is unable to send email.
  • This issue occurs if the SSL certificate for the SMTP server configured in Aria Orchestrator is not trusted. 

Resolution

  • Follow the steps in the URL to import a trusted certificate into Aria Orchestrator.
  • APPLY the Host Security Configuration action once again in Aria Operations.
