Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Error: "Validation error on field 'updateUser.arg0.email': String value has invalid format, value: [XXXX]" when disabling or modifying a user in Cloud Director.
  • In the VMware Cloud Director Provider Portal > Administration Tab > Under Provider Access Controls Users > Select the user > Unable to disable, delete or modify users. 


Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue is caused because the user to be disabled or modified does not have a valid email entry.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, please open a Support Request.
Database modifications are required to update the email value of the user to be deleted/modified.
